Story of the

'Housing Justice Means Land Back'

design

From frontier wars, to missions and boundary streets, the violent removal of Indigenous peoples from their homes and homelands is a central function of colonialism. As rents continue to rise, neighbourhoods gentrify and residents of Brisbane’s tent cities resist eviction, ‘housing justice means land back’ is a reminder that true housing justice foregrounds Indigenous sovereignty, putting race and dispossession at the centre of struggles for ‘a place to call home’ on stolen land.
